Our Associate Private Wealth Advisor, Benjamin Trask, and our Private Wealth Advisor, Chrys Kanos, went to the Northwestern Mutual Home Office in Milwaukee in November of 2023. Both attended trainings to strengthen their skills to further serve our clients with the most up to date knowledge and financial planning strategies. Here at Bera Wealth, our clients are the number one priority and we are continuously striving to extend our skillsets to serve you the way you deserve.

OCTOBER 2023
In October of 2023, our Private Wealth Advisor, Spencer Schulz, passed his CFP® exam. We are beyond proud of the dedication and hard work from Spencer and are excited to celebrate this milestone with him as a team.

SEPTEMBER 2023
We are beyond honored and thankful to have been voted ‘Best Financial Planner’ and ‘Best Investment Firm’ at this year’s Charleston’s Choice 2023 award. We are grateful for all our clients and friends who have made this possible and could not ask for a better community to be surrounded by.

AUGUST 2023
In August, Chrys Kanos, had the honor of witnessing one of our Northwestern Mutual representatives retire after 28 years of service from the United States Navy, Thomas Perez (seen in the middle).

APRIL 2023 - BRIDGE RUN 2023 – EXCHANGE CLUB RAISED MONEY FOR WINDWOOD FARMS
This year, Heath Johnson ran the Bridge Run and his exchange club helped raise money for Windwood Farms. The exchange club was the top team in terms of fundraising at The Bridge this year.

MARCH 2023 - BERA OYSTER ROAST
In March, the Bera Team got together at Heath’s house to have a Oyster Roast in his backyard. The evening was packed full of great discussion and laughter! We were so glad to be able to enjoy spending time together outside of the office.

Two of our Bera partners, Chrys Kanos and Spencer Schulz, and their wives went to a Napa Trip through NM.

JANUARY 2023 - NEW YEAR’S PARTY FOR THE DISTRICT
In January, our district office got together to celebrate the New Year in ‘Black and White’ attire. It was great celebrating all of our accomplishments and ringing in the new year with the entire Charleston office.

DECEMBER 2022
Heath Johnson, Founding Partner and Private Wealth Advisor at Bera Wealth Advisor introduced Alex English as the Executive Director in December at the ‘Be a Mentor’ 2022 Gala event. The Charleston Place Hotel hosted an incredible record-breaking night for BAM fundraising!

Be A Mentor enables youth to develop positive relationships with caring adults who empower them to reach their full potential through mentorship. The Gala pays tribute to children who are going places and the mentors who are believing in our local youth.

NOVEMBER 2022
Chrys Kanos, our Partner and Private Wealth Advisor at Bera Wealth Advisors welcomed his second daughter, Hollis, into the world. Both wife McKensie and daughter Lennox are overjoyed and love being a family of four.

At Bera, we want to take a moment to share our gratitude and appreciation for all the educators and school staff starting the 2022-2023 school year. Educators and school staff have gone above and beyond to assist from the beginnings of preschool all the way through high school and college. We entrust our educators with the care and nurturing of our children, especially during a year of ongoing change, we thank you for blazing a trail for our children to follow. Your kindness, resilience, and educational enrichment has helped our children endure and grow in this ever-evolving environment.

JULY 2022
Members of Bera Wealth Advisors and Northwestern Mutual Charleston attend the NM annual meeting in Milwaukee. The meeting kicked off with 10,000 people running a 5K along Lake Michigan followed by many days of new learnings and motivational speakers.

JUNE 2022
Since not only the wellbeing of our clients is top priority for our team at Bera Wealth Advisors, a few of the Bera Team members joined together for a Tabata workout at Sullivans’s Island during sunrise to get their fitness on early in the morning.

MAY 2022
Chrys and several members of the Northwestern Mutual Charleston team play over 100 holes of golf in 12 hours raising more than $100,000 for the local First Tee Charitable Organization.

APRIL 2022
Every month our Private Wealth Advisor, Spencer Schulz, leads a call with Asian American financial advisors. This year included Honolulu, Chicago, Minneapolis, Dallas, St. Louis. Spencer was asked to mentor these advisors since he himself is of Filipino/Chinese origin. Among other topics, Spencer helps the advisors with working in the Asian-American market, helping them get their business off to a fast start, and consulting with them on current issues. Every year the group gets together for the multi culture affinity summit.

MARCH 2022
It’s important for our partners to meet every month and at Bera we like to add a twist of fun to it whenever we can. In March, our partners went out to Folly Beach and conducted their meeting on Heath’s boat accompanied by a few cold beverages. After wrapping up the initial get together the team took a cruise and ended up back at Heath’s beach house. Later, the team headed to a few different spots on Folly Beach to celebrate Spencer and Evan becoming members of Bera. The most memorable moment of the night was Evan gifting Heath, Chrys, and Spencer single barrel bottles of bourbon from Paddock & Whisky – he selected bottles that he thought best represented their personalities. Overall, our partners had a blast and are planning to do another get together next year!

Chrys and several members of the Charleston District Office celebrate impacting over 750 new clients in 2021 by going down to Key West for a few days of relaxation and fellowship.

In January 2022, Evan hired Carter Bunn as his Director of Client Experience to support his team. Carter is striving to build strong relationships & help others become the best versions of themselves, whether it's personally, or now, financially.
